How to use
Stratpharma products will not stain your clothes if you apply a little amount and wait the drying time indicated for the product. Once dry, our products can be covered by undergarments, sunscreens or cosmetics. If you apply too much it will most likely not dry and can remain sticky on your skin and stain clothing. If staining occurs, dry cleaning should be able to remove it without any damaging of the fabric.
No, Strataderm is designed for all skin types. It is suitable for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, children or people with sensitive skin.
On first use, remove the cap, cut the nozzle tip of the tube and close with the cap after use.
On 50 g tubes remove the cap, then the protective seal and close with the cap after use.
Stratpharma’s products should be stored in a dry place below 25°C (77 °F) / 30°C (86°F). To provide a refreshing feeling it can be placed in the fridge as well.
During the filling process, some air is left inside the tube. Therefore, the tube is larger than the gel inside. Nevertheless, the tube is guaranteed to have at least the minimum quantity of gel stated on the tube.
When the gel is dry to the touch, it is "completely" dry.
We know that our products are stable until a temperature of (-20° Celsius). Below that temperature point we don’t have enough data to support the stability of our products, and we would have to individually check every case. We want to point out that so far, we have not had any complaints of products freezing during their shipment. Our products are available in countries with cold winters (like Canada) for several years now and this has not been a source of problems until now.
Medical
We do not have products that are specifically indicated for the dark circles under the eye. Please consult your physician to evaluate the reasons of the dark circles and appropriate treatment.

We have three products suitable for burns or wounds that we would recommend depending on the depth of the injury or burn and they are all classified as Class 2 a Medical Devices as wound dressings.
If the burn or wound is deep and the epidermis (top layer of the skin) is not present we recommend Stratamed. If the epidermis is present then we can recommend Stratacel or StrataXRT.
All of these products are suitable for wound as you describe, however Stratamed is more suited to remain in contact with open wounds as it is “sticky or tacky”.
All three products will create a most wound healing environment for faster wound healing, protect the skin from irritants and microbial invasion while reducing the risk of contact dermatitis, reduce the acute inflammatory response and provide symptomatic relief.

After ellacore and subcision procedure, we recommend using Stratamed or Stratacel until the wound is healed.
Stratamed was developed with a special consistency to ensure that it remains in stronger contact with the wound bed, suture line or damaged surface.
Stratamed is a full-contact flexible wound dressing for faster wound healing and early abnormal scar ((management)) and is generally used following full field procedures, after surgery and deeper wounds.
Stratacel was developed with a special consistency so that it is easier to spread and remove.
Stratacel is a flexible wound dressing specifically designed for the repair of damaged or compromised skin following resurfacing procedures such as dermal abrasion, laser resurfacing and chemical peels.
Both products promote a moist healing environment leading to faster re-epithelialization and reduced downtime.
Once your wound is healed, we recommend using Strataderm for the management of abnormal scars.
Strataderm is used to soften and flatten scars, relieve the itching and discomfort of scars as well as to reduce redness and discoloration associated with scars.
Strataderm is not indicated and should not be applied on open wounds or compromised skin.
For the best results, Stratamed, Stratacel and Strataderm should maintain continuous contact with the skin.

Bacteriostatic product characteristics mean that it stops bacteria from reproducing, while not necessarily kills them. It protects from microbial invasion whilst reducing the risk for contact dermatitis
Upon removal of the bacteriostatic product, the bacteria usually start to grow again. This is in contrast to bactericides, which kill bacteria. In case of an infection, it is recommended to treat the infection first and then the therapy can be resumed with Stratpharma’s products.
Commercial
Stratpharma AG is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland and is the legal manufacturer of all of our products. In the production process we do source our product parts from the different continents, but the final assembling / manufacturing and sterilization step takes place in Europe.

Silicones
Stratpharma’s products are 100% silicone gel formulation.
It is commonly accepted that silicones due to their semi-occlusive properties reduce the TEWL (trans-epithelial water loss) thus enabling a controlled moist environment, proven to be a key factor for faster wound healing and abnormal scar treatment and prevention.
Silicones are polymers (long-chain molecules) with a structure that consists of alternate atoms of silicon and oxygen with organic groups attached to the silicon atoms. The degree of polymerization determines the physical form of the silicone, which can vary from thin oils to relatively hard rubbers or resins.
Silicones are chemically inert and side effects from the use of silicones in medicine and surgery are rare. Results of animal studies with silicones have shown they do not cause skin reactions or systemic toxicity. Silicone has been approved for use in wound management, implants, prosthetic materials and other devices in contact with the human body by regulatory agencies around the world.
Silicone is insoluble in wound exudate and due to the size of its polymeric molecules and its low surface tension it cannot penetrate through cell membranes or pass through the skin or wound into blood vessels. Therefore, silicone cannot enter the circulatory system. In case of incidental ingestion, silicone cannot be absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract either.
Silicone is inert and less likely to cause sensitivity reactions than many other materials used in dermatological products. In addition they are also widely used in consumer cosmetic products and several medical devices for use in direct contact with the human body or as implants.
